GPT-6 Astra is the model OpenAI released in early September 2026 (announcement), the first to carry the lab’s Critical cyber designation and the one its president greeted with welcome to the AGI era. In this corpus it scores 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3 and 97.6% on FrontierMath Tier 4, and it is the middle link of the training lineage an insider described: trained with help from GPT-5.6 Sol and now helping train the successors due to launch as AGI. Jensen Huang, whose hardware trained it, declared AGI arrived the next day.
