At D4 Global 2020 I showed how Maze Therapeutics uses knowledge graphs and semantic technologies to identify and validate drug targets by analyzing genetic modifiers — the “protective modifiers” that let some people resist disease despite carrying disease-causing genes.
I walked through three use cases served by a single cloud-based knowledge graph: bioinformaticians publishing analysis results, biologists evaluating targets with structured evidence, and chemists gathering compound information — each integrating proprietary cohort data with public databases to lower the barrier to analysis.
